API Credits
This section provides an overview of the API credits system in Scrollsequence, detailing how credits are allocated, consumed, and managed within the application.
What are API Credits?
API credits are a form of currency used to access various features and services within Scrollsequence. They are required for operations that involve external API calls, such as generating media, using AI agents, or accessing premium functionalities.
Credit Allocation
You receive a monthly allowance of API credits based on your subscription plan.
How Credits are Tracked
Your usage is calculated by looking back 30 days in our system to sum up all the credits you’ve consumed. This means:
- Credits used more than 30 days ago don’t count toward your current usage
- Your available credits are determined by:
MonthlyAllowance - Last30DaysUsage - Once 30 days have passed since a credit was spent, it no longer counts toward your usage limit
How to View Your API Credits
To check your current API credit balance and usage:
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Scrollsequence → Dashboard → Usage to see:
- Your remaining credits for this billing period
- Your current plan’s monthly allocation
- For detailed insights, visit the History tab.
How API Credits are Consumed
Different features consume different amounts of credits. Examples include:
- Image Generation - consumes a certain number of credits per image generated
- Video Generation and Processing - credits required for video conversion and manipulation
- AI Agents - uses credits for content generation and processing
Beta Testing Notice Scrollsequence is currently in beta, and credit limits for each plan may change as we optimize our systems and gather real-world usage data
